Here's a short we made with our new Canon 7D. Don is still learning the camera. He shot it too bright so the colors are washed out. We recorded audio on a Zoom H2 but this cut uses only the camera's internal mic. The only len we currently have is a 50mm 1.4f. Software tools were ultra simple, no-cost: Microsoft Movie Maker, Mpeg Streamclip 1.2 to convert the Canon files to something Movie Maker could use, VirtualDup to fix the audio on two cuts (adding the laughs), and ffmpeg to convert Microsoft sound recorder's .wma to .wav plus modify the recorded percussion track to the final "music" track.
And here's an old bio I did a couple of years ago shot with a Sony camcorder.
While I'm at it, here are two of the better music videos I've been in.
